Final days to share your news business model!

By Steve Outing

Back in October (the last time I posted to Media Disruptus), I asked people with an interest in the future of journalism to propose new, innovative business models for the news sector.

There’s still time to add your ideas! The online brainstorming tool I’m using (Tricider) will shut down our exercise shortly after the clock signals the new year. So you’ve got through Wednesday to share your ideas. (Also, please add arguments and/or vote for the best ideas!)

Either participate in the embedded brainstorming exercise below, or use the original version at Tricider (if you run into problems here).

If you prefer working with a larger version of the interactive exercise above, or experience browser compatibility issues, click here.

After the new year passes, I’ll summarize the results here. Till then, have a happy and safe new year and a prosperous 2015!

How about producing dependable, reliably reporting for a premium? You know, like the automotive business, for example, where there are markets for both used Hyundais at one end and BMWs and Ferraris at the other? The mass distribution thing is just producing ever worse journalism. Why not offer those who can afford it and are interested something good?
