More-descriptive photos on Flickr

By Steve Outing

If you’ve ever seen description-box overlays on photos posted to Flickr, the great photo-sharing service, I just discovered how to do it. It’s a simple feature within Flickr. Just get to one of your own photos on Flickr and you should see an “Add note” tab. The interface is simple and you can add as many boxes and captions as you want. Here’s a photo of my kids that I’ve added two boxes to; within Flickr, you mouse over the photo to see them.

I decided to go ahead and blog this because I discovered in asking around that most folks were unaware of this Flickr feature.

And if you want to do this sort of thing outside of Flickr, Eric Peterson was kind enough to ask the experts at Experts-Exchange.com, and someone came up with this solution.
